Bridging the Gap: Core Priorities for Kimilili

Hon. Makokha’s campaign platform rests on tackling persistent structural issues while equipping the local populace with sustainable tools for self-reliance.

•Education & Skill Building: Expanding access to higher education through a merit-based, non-partisan bursary scheme, alongside investing in TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions to equip youth with market-ready skills.

•Farmer Centric Economics: Protecting smallholder farmers by championing fairer pricing for produce, better access to subsidized fertilizers, and improved feeder road networks to reduce transport costs.

•Health & Basic Infrastructure: Advocacy for upgraded local dispensaries, clean water access across rural wards, and better-lit, safer trading centers to foster a 24-hour rural economy.

•Inclusive Governance: Instituting regular community barazas (public consultation forums) to ensure residents have a direct say in how constituency funds are allocated and monitored.

"Leadership is about stewardship, not position. Our goal is to ensure every household in Kimilili feels the impact of governance through visible projects, fair opportunity distribution, and economic dignity."

— Hon. Fred Joshua Makokha

       A Competitive Arena

As Western Kenya remains a pivotal battleground for national and local politics, Hon. Makokha’s early grassroots engagement positions him as a strong contender. By focusing on issue-based campaigning and economic empowerment, his bid aims to offer a fresh alternative for the electorate across Kimilili’s five wards—Maeni, Kibingei, Kamukuywa, Kimilili Township, and Matili/Riziki area.

With the 2027 polls fast approaching, the constituency is bracing for an intense campaign season centered on performance, integrity, and future vision.
