Coca-Cola Ignites the Magic of Everyday Dining in Kenya
Coca-Cola has officially pulled back the curtain on its new ‘Coke with Meals’ campaign, a nationwide initiative designed to celebrate the connection between great food, good company, and a cold beverage. Launched in March 2026, the campaign moves beyond the brand’s traditional association with major holidays, focusing instead on the "magic" found in everyday dining moments across Kenya.

The heart of the campaign, titled 'A Recipe for Magic', highlights how a chilled Coca-Cola can transform an ordinary meal into an extraordinary experience. By focusing on "tasty everyday moments," Coca-Cola aims to be the companion for life's smaller milestones, such as:
•Finishing daily chores or school assignments.
•Landing a new professional "gig".
•Achieving personal goals.
•Enjoying street food after work or a quick bite between classes.
Targeted Strategy: Urban Gen Z and Beyond
While the campaign maintains its appeal to families and millennials, it features a distinct urban-first strategy specifically tailored for Gen Z (ages 18-25). This includes students, digital natives, and young professionals who frequent Kenya’s vibrant gastronomic hubs.
To reach these audiences, activations are scheduled across four major Kenyan hubs:
•Nairobi
•Mombasa
•Kisumu
•Nakuru
A Cultural Integration
The ‘Coke with Meals’ initiative is more than a simple promotion; it is an effort to weave the brand into the fabric of Kenyan food culture. The campaign will utilize several channels to bring this vision to life:
•Digital Storytelling: Social media content featuring real-life dining moments.
•Influencer Partnerships: Collaborations with local chefs and food content creators to show how Coca-Cola complements Kenyan cuisine.
•Community Activations: Field events held at local restaurants, coffee shops, and street food stalls where communities naturally gather.
"Coca-Cola believes in the magic of shared meals, especially in a world where food is a cultural phenomenon that brings friends and family to the table," stated Monique Katana, Director Frontline Marketing at Coca-Cola.
The campaign is a collaborative effort between The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Kenya. CCBA is the largest Coca-Cola bottler on the continent, accounting for over 40% of the brand's ready-to-drink volume in Africa and employing more than 13,000 people across 14 countries.
